Thanks for a virtual tour for my students. Thanks for introducing me to art and being my first art teacher!
I saw Diane Maxey's paintings in the International Artist Magazine and really love the Hydrangeas. Would like to order the Best of Flower Paiting Book, but I'm not sure where I can obtain it in the UK. Would like to know exactly how the Hydrangeas were painted - it is beautiful. Are there any courses by this artist in or near the UK - even France or Ireland?
All I can say is "wow"! You work is breathtaking! I have been painting watercolours for 5 years now and I find that there are not too many floral artists whose work I find inspiring or illicit that special feeling that makes you look for more. Your work is beautiful, your techniques are fantastic, and I just want to see more! I would love to attend one of your workshops! Thank you for posting your wonderful work for all to enjoy. I have added your site to my list of favourite watercolourists! Please visit the Website of one of my other favourite artists, Carole Evans. www.carolevans.com
very nice page.
Your work is absolutely wonderful. I look forward to participating in a workshop/class taugh by you in the near future.
You have a wonderful web site and watercolors. I wish I could take one of your classes/workshops. But it is not possible, so I'll try to buy your books. May be one day you want and plan to bring your class to Turkey. Good bye. Best wishes.
may be interested in taking your workshop with the PBWS in February, 2003
Sorry that I cannot attend your workshop in Northern Calif. Let me know when you do one in Central Calif. (Cambria) We sold our Phx. house and now are here in this one full time.

I love your work and hope that you will continue to update your web site. I've just registered in your Sabastapol workshop and am very much lookin g forward to it.
Your paintings are beautiful!! I am trying to learn watercolor painting and having a great time in the process. What I was trying to do was see if I could understand how a given watercolor was crafted. When I found this site, I just enjoyed seeing the beautiful paintings. Thanks.

I am 54 years old and have dabbled, haltingly, in watercolor for the past 5 years. I am also teaching myself to sketch and draw to improve my paintings. I am so fascinated by the watercolor media. Although, I am at the pre-beginning level, I find it engrossing and fun. The photographs of Diane's paintings are astoundingly beautiful. I can't even begin to imagine what it would like to see them in person. I, too, love to paint flowers and am in my "tulip" phase. My husband is sick of tulip paintings (he's a real encourager, though). Thank you for having this website. It's encouraging just to look at Diane's paintings.

Please send me your latest watercolor works. Thanks .
I was in your watercolor class in San Angelo, Tx. about 26 years ago. I was starting labor the last day I came to class. You were an inspiration to me. You really planted a deep love of watercolor in me. You will always be the best. I love your work. I was thrilled to find your website. I have not done much watercolor since then. But...I would love to begin again. I teach school and there is little time and very little opportunity for watercolor classes down here. I am not going to give up though. Diane, God bless you. Thank you for letting God use your talents to bring happiness to all who see your work. Other than the Lord, you would be the one I would most want to be like. I have never forgotten you.
