I really love your work. I, too am a watercolorist and find a familiarity in your work. I just started being able to do my art late in 2001, so I feel I still have a ways to go. I would like to know what colors you use for your light and dark shadows. Do you mix your own greens? If so, what are your favorite combinations. I will probably have more questions later! Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Brenda

Dear Ms. Maxey: Thank you for making this world a more beautiful place. I enjoy your artwork so very much and you are an inspiration to me as well. I have been working in watercolors for quite a while and especially enjoy painting wildlife in unique environments. I am originally from San Diego and every chance I get to visit family there I always make it a point to visit my old haunts in Balboa Park where I relish the beautiful buildings and architecture. Italy, too, has provided me with some very beautiful scenery. I was there in 2003 with a bunch of artists with Judy Morris as instructor...so I think I have a lifetime of photographs to use as references for my paintings. Thanks again for making my day brighter. Jeanne-Marie Reed

I'm looking forward to Acapulco. I never received a supply list. What weight paper do you like? Do you have a pallet that you prefer? I'll be there the week before for the yupo workshop, so I need to get my supplies ready. I'm at our place in Colorado and not going to San Antonio until the 31st- no supply places here- have to order on line. If you have special colors, let me know. Otherwise I'll just bring my favorites. I would consider myself an advanced beginner. I hope I'm not over my head. Do you teach all levels? Thanks, Dot

I was even further enamoured with your exciting teaching style plus your one-on-one helpfulness to bring out the best in everyone's own style of watercolor painting. You have an incredible ability to flux between sharing a wide variety of educational techniques whilst also juggling each individual class's needs, wants and desires without losing your momentum or focus...KUDOS. Diane... I am an AZ snowbird. We are summer season full time RV-ers in the Pacific NW...choosing to tour Canada on a road trip in June using our timeshare. I was blessed last summer to discover your water-color workshop from you last summer in Sequim WA. I am also going to take your class this summer in Spokane WA. However, I received an e-mail from an artsy gal pal here in AZ who heard at the Sun City festivities yesterday, you have a workshop at the West Valley Art Museum this month here in Surprise where I winter. I have NOT received any notifica-tion of it as of now from either yourself or them. Also when I tried to originally send this e-mail to your e-mail address on your website I was notified it was undeliverable. Therefore, I attempted to send it through your other website listed on your postcard: Dmaxey.watercolor@worldnet.att.net to no avail. Do you an updated website/e-mail addresses?
